Broadview North

Broadview North is one of those east-end neighbourhoods that people sometimes discover and think, “How did I not know about this area?” It has a quiet, residential feel, beautiful mature trees and a real sense of community, but you’re still close to the Danforth, the Don Valley and downtown Toronto.

One of the things I love about Broadview North is the mix of homes. You’ll find everything from charming older houses and bungalows to renovated family homes and newer builds. A lot of the homes have that classic Toronto character, with mature gardens, front porches and tree-lined streets. It’s also a neighbourhood where you’ll see a mix of longtime residents and young families who have moved in and really made themselves part of the community.

For families, there are several schools in and around the neighbourhood, including East York Collegiate Institute, Earl Grey Senior Public School, Chester Elementary School and Frankland Community School, along with a number of other public and Catholic school options nearby. There are also plenty of parks and recreation programs that make the area a popular choice for families.

One of the biggest perks of living here is how close you are to the Don Valley. Todmorden Mills is right nearby and is such a unique spot in the city, with historic buildings, gardens, walking trails and plenty of green space. There are also trails throughout the Don Valley that are great for walking, running and biking. It’s pretty nice to have all of that nature so close to home while still being in the middle of Toronto.

You’re also just a short trip from Riverdale Park East, one of the best places in the city to take in the Toronto skyline. Whether you’re there for a walk, taking the kids to the park or watching the sunset over downtown, it’s one of those spots that never really gets old.

Cosburn Avenue and the surrounding streets have that classic neighbourhood feel, with local businesses and familiar faces that make the area feel much more personal than some of Toronto’s busier neighbourhoods.

The location is another big reason people are drawn to Broadview North. You’re close to East York, the Danforth, Riverdale and the Don Valley, and downtown is only a short TTC ride away. You get the convenience of being close to the city without feeling like you’re living right in the middle of it.
