Cliffcrest

Cliffcrest is one of those Scarborough neighbourhoods that people tend to fall in love with once they discover it. It has a quiet, family-friendly feel, beautiful tree-lined streets and a mix of homes, but one of the biggest draws is how close you are to the lake and the Scarborough Bluffs. You get a little more space and a slower pace while still being within the city.

One of the things I love about Cliffcrest is the variety of homes. You’ll find everything from classic bungalows and older detached homes to renovated family houses, larger custom homes and newer builds. Many of the streets have mature trees and larger lots, giving the neighbourhood a really comfortable residential feel.

For families, there are several schools in and around Cliffcrest, including Cliffside Public School, Chine Drive Public School, St. Agatha Catholic School and R.H. King Academy. There are also other public and Catholic school options nearby. With plenty of parks, playgrounds and recreation programs close by, it’s an area that works really well for families.

The Scarborough Bluffs are obviously one of the biggest perks of living here. Scarborough Bluffs Park and Cathedral Bluffs Park offer some incredible views over Lake Ontario, and there are plenty of trails and green spaces to explore. Bluffer’s Park and Bluffer’s Beach are also just a short drive away and are hard to beat on a warm summer day.

Another local favourite is Guild Park and Gardens, which is just east of Cliffcrest. It’s such a unique place to explore, with beautiful gardens, historic architectural pieces and walking paths. It feels a little hidden away and is one of those spots that even longtime Torontonians may not know about.

There are lots of everyday amenities nearby too. Kingston Road is the main shopping and dining strip, with local restaurants, cafés, shops and services. Cliffcrest Plaza and the surrounding area make it easy to take care of everyday errands without having to head too far from home.

Getting around is fairly easy as well. There are several TTC bus routes through the neighbourhood, and Kennedy GO Station and Guildwood GO Station are both within a reasonable distance for commuters. Kingston Road also gives drivers easy access to other parts of Scarborough and Toronto.

Cliffcrest is also close to some great east-end attractions. You’re not far from Rosetta McClain Gardens, the R.C. Harris Water Treatment Plant, the Beaches and Lake Ontario. There are plenty of opportunities to get outside, whether you’re heading down to the water, exploring the trails or simply taking a walk through the neighbourhood.

But what really makes Cliffcrest special is the community. There’s a relaxed, established feel here, with quiet streets, longtime residents and families who have chosen to stay in the area for years. It doesn’t feel overly busy or built up, and there’s a nice sense that people actually know their neighbours.

You’re close to the lake, the Bluffs, great parks, schools and everyday conveniences, while still being within easy reach of the rest of Toronto. For buyers looking for a little more space, a strong community and some of the best natural scenery in the city, Cliffcrest is definitely worth a look.
