Church–Wellesley Village, Toronto

Church-Wellesley Village is one of the most vibrant and welcoming neighbourhoods in downtown Toronto. It’s right in the middle of the city, but there’s still a real community feel, with local businesses, cafés, restaurants, parks and plenty of people out enjoying the neighbourhood.

The area has a mix of housing, including Victorian homes, row houses, condos, townhomes and apartment buildings. You’ll see historic properties mixed in with newer condo towers, which gives the neighbourhood a really interesting combination of old Toronto and modern city living.

The heart of the neighbourhood is Church Street, with restaurants, patios, cafés, shops and local businesses. It’s also the centre of Toronto’s LGBTQ+ community and home to the annual Toronto Pride celebrations.

There are several great green spaces nearby, including Barbara Hall Park, Cawthra Square Park and Allan Gardens. Allan Gardens is particularly special, with its historic conservatory and beautiful indoor gardens.

You’re also just a short walk from Yonge Street, Eaton Centre, Ryerson/TMU and the University of Toronto, so there’s always something happening.

Transit couldn’t be easier. Wellesley, College, Dundas and Bloor-Yonge Stations are all within walking distance depending on where you live.
