Davisville Village

Davisville Village is one of those Midtown neighbourhoods that just feels easy to live in. There are quiet, tree-lined residential streets, great parks and schools, but you’re also just minutes from Yonge Street, Mount Pleasant Road, the subway and pretty much everything you need day to day. It has that nice balance of being right in the city without always feeling like you’re in the middle of it.

One of the things I love about Davisville Village is the mix of homes. You’ll find charming older detached and semi-detached houses, traditional brick homes, renovated family properties, townhomes and condos. Some streets have beautiful mature trees, front porches and gardens, while closer to Yonge you’ll find more condos and apartment buildings. There’s a nice mix of longtime residents, younger families and professionals, which gives the neighbourhood a really comfortable, lived-in feel.

For families, there are several schools in and around the neighbourhood, including Davisville Junior Public School, Maurice Cody Junior Public School and Hodgson Middle School, along with Catholic and private school options nearby.

The outdoor space is definitely one of the biggest perks of living here. June Rowlands Park is a real neighbourhood gathering spot, with a playground, splash pad, tennis courts, sports fields and plenty of green space. During the warmer months, the Davisville Village Farmers’ Market brings even more life to the park and is a great place to pick up something local on the weekend.

The Kay Gardner Beltline Trail is another huge bonus and is popular with walkers, runners, cyclists and dog owners. You’re also close to Oriole Park and Eglinton Park, giving you even more playgrounds, sports facilities and green space. The North Toronto Memorial Community Recreation Centre is nearby too, with swimming, skating and programs throughout the year.

There are lots of everyday amenities close to home. Yonge Street has restaurants, coffee shops, grocery stores, fitness studios and local businesses, while Mount Pleasant Road has more of a neighbourhood feel with independent cafés, bakeries, restaurants and shops. I really like that you have both within easy reach depending on what you’re looking for.

Getting around is easy too. Davisville Station is right on Line 1, making it simple to get downtown, and there are TTC routes throughout the neighbourhood. You’re also close to Yonge and Eglinton, Moore Park, Chaplin Estates and Leaside, so there are plenty of other neighbourhoods to explore nearby.

But what really makes Davisville Village stand out is how comfortable it feels. You can walk to the subway, grab a coffee, take the kids to the park, head out on the Beltline or walk somewhere for dinner without having to go very far.



You’re right in Midtown and close to everything you need, but once you turn onto the residential streets, it still feels like a real neighbourhood. It’s the kind of place where you start recognizing familiar faces, have your favourite local coffee shop and can really settle into the community. That mix of convenience, green space and neighbourhood feel is what makes Davisville such a great place to call home.
